We Move Your Site

We first start by moving all your web site content from your old web hosting company to our servers. This includes any databases, scripts, and CGI programs. Some scripts and CGI programs may require slight modifications in order to be compatible with our servers (for example, path names to script locations may differ from the old host's servers to our servers). Next, we will test your website under a test URL. We encourage you to help us test the site on our servers under the test URL. Next, we'll update your DNS records for your domain name so that your domain is controlled by our name servers rather than your old host's name servers.

HostWizard Works, as a courtesy, will transfer your web site files from your previous host to your new HostWizard Works account. We will make every effort to help you move your site files and get your websites functional on your new hosting account. Please understand that this service provided as a courtesy. HostWizard Works makes no guarantees regarding any aspect or portions involved with web site files transfers, or time required to complete an account transfer.

Hosting companies have all different types of platforms that save data in an incompatible or proprietary format, which could make it very difficult if not impossible to migrate some or all account data. HostWizard Works will try our absolute best to help you with this transfer, but in some cases we may be unable to assist you in a transfer of data from an old host. We can probably tell you ahead of time if we foresee any difficulties.
